Survival In An Urban Disaster

When disaster strikes, urban areas become remote. In instances of natural or manmade disaster, systems collapse, response teams become overwhelmed, immobilized, and strained. Wilderness and Remote First Aid is designed to provide you with training on the application of first aid when emergency services are not immediately available. This includes urban disaster such as, tornados, floods, wildfires, earthquakes, civil unrest/riots, and war. When disaster strikes, will you be prepared?

Immediate Response Training, LLC is offering a 16 hour, Wilderness and Remote First Aid course on March 18-19, 8a-4p at Foundry Tactical in Lombard, IL.

This 16 hour course is conducted over 2 days.  Day 1 is in the classroom at Foundry Tactical.  Day 2 is outdoors at the Dupage County Forest Preserve.  Dress appropriate for the weather.

Purpose
To provide individuals a foundation of first aid principles and skills to be able to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services (EMS) response. This includes wilderness and remote environments, including urban disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes.

Prerequisites

Possess current adult CPR/AED certification

Be at least 14 years of age on or before the last scheduled session of the course
