According to the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC)
First Care Providers (FCP) are –
“Empowered and trained community members who can serve a critical role during the initial moments after complex and dynamic disasters. These FCPs often have immediate access to severely injured victims and can provide time-sensitive, life saving
interventions; the FCP is the first link in the trauma chain of survival.”
If you would like to become a person prepared for immediate response, register now to get certified as a First Care Provider in TECC.
IRT offers a specialized certification in TECC for First Responders with a duty to Act (Law Enforcement and Firefighters not trained as EMS) This course provides knowledge and training to deal with an active threat environment.
In the event of a mass casualty event, time is the enemy of the wounded. The more people prepared to step up and provide care, the better the chances are for survival. TECC is rapidly becoming the globally recognized standard for initial, pre-medical first aid in high risk scenarios. Whether you are a concerned citizen looking to be prepared, a CCW holder, hunter, or gun owner in general, knowing what to do in high risk first aid situations is your duty.
